Pastoral Support Assistant

Grade 4

Salary: £24,496 – £26,845 (£21,487 – £23,548 pro rata) pay award pending

Contract: Full Time 36.40 hours per week (Term Time plus ten days)

We are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Assistant to our Pastoral Team.  The purpose of the post is to work with teachers and colleagues within the school to support the needs of students to overcome barriers to learning, to raise their aspirations and achieve their full potential.  Barriers could be internal or external to the school and could include issues surrounding attendance/truancy.

The successful candidate will have commitment to young people and their development, an understanding of the issues young people face and the ability to empathise with them whilst setting high expectations and clear boundaries.
