Curriculum Support Assistant

Grade 4

Salary: £26,421 – £28,770 (£22,017 – £23,974 pro rata) pay award pending

Contract: Full Time 36.40 hours per week (Term Time only)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with an interest in supporting and educating children. This role will suit a wide range of people including those who wish to get into teaching or those who have experience of an educational setting.

Key aspects of the role would be to:

  • To supervise and support students through covering lessons or learning activities during the short term absence of their teacher
  • To assist students in the completion of work set and facilitate peer assessment and correction of the work under the direction of a Curriculum Leader
  • To support with ad hoc administrative work in a designated Curriculum area

Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of working with or relating to young people and have a commitment to their education, development, welfare and aspirations with particular focus on language for learning.
  • Ability to successfully deliver pre planned lessons as directed by the classroom teacher/Curriculum Leader
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and administration skills.
